NorthWestern Energy will began upgrade work on underground electric lines in the Grande Vista area of southwest Great Falls on Monday, July 21, 2014. The work, which could lead to small, brief power outages for small groups of customers, is expected to continue for about three months.

The first phase of the extensive project will affect an area between Park Garden Road and Adobe Drive, along Delmar, Carmel, Bonita and Alamo drives. Crews will be replacing underground electric cable. The project, with a cost of about $254,000, will lead to greater service reliability in the area.

The work is expected to require brief outages affecting a small number of customers. NorthWestern Energy will work to notify its customers in advance of the outages.
