Ali Arab

Dr. Ali Arab is an expert in risk & resilience management with an extensive industry experience in addressing the nexus of energy, climate, and finance. He is currently a Research Professor of Engineering at University of Denver, and a Financial Sector Consultant with The World Bank in Washington, DC. Previously, he served as a Data & Analytics Manager with Protiviti, a global management consulting firm in New York City. Prior, he was with the Electric Power Analytics Consortium in Houston where his research was sponsored by the National Science Foundation, CenterPoint Energy, and Direct Energy. Prior to that, he spent several years as an entrepreneur, lecturer, project manager, CEO advisor, and management consultant with various companies. His clientele portfolio includes top-tier global banks, top U.S. investment banks, federal financial and regulatory institutions, international financial services firms, and a number of leading U.S. utilities and Fortune 500 companies. He is a Senior Member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and his articles appeared in flagship journals including IEEE Transactions on Reliability, and IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid, among others. His international professional experience includes the North America, Middle East, Southeast Asia regions. Ali has extensively travelled to all 50 U.S. states which has provided him with a deep understanding of local business climates across the country. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering from University of Houston.
