Six days after America celebrated the Fourth of July, the nation's line trade honored another special day--National Lineworker Appreciation Day. The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA), Edison Electric Institute (EEI) and the Utility Workers Union of America (UWUA) joined forces to honor the hard-working men and women in the line trade on July 10, 2020.
To recognize their own linemen, many IBEW and NECA Locals, utilities and contractors took to social media by posting photos and celebratory messages on Twitter. Here are a few examples of their tributes to the nation's essential workforce--America's linemen.
