Linemen Learn How to Safely Build Transformer Banks

Aug. 28, 2018
The Transformer Training School gave municipal linemen in North Carolina the opportunity to practice their skills in a safe, controlled environment.

Municipal linemen in North Carolina learned how to build transformer banks through a blend of classroom instruction, practicing on a simulator and working on actual transformers in a training yard. The one-week Transformer Training School, which was organized by Electricities of North Carolina, gave the students the opportunity to safely sharpen their skills and discover best practices.

Here is a video clip and some photos from the recent training program, where linemen were able to use Utility Solutions' new Load-Trainer Transformer Simulator for the first time.
