One of my favorite weeks of the entire year is just around the corner: the International Lineman's Rodeo Week. This is a time when our T&D World subscribers, Line Life Podcast listeners and lineworkers and their families come to Kansas City for a week of competition and camaraderie. 

In the months leading up to this event, I wanted to start sharing a series of special playlists just for the 2026 International Lineman's Rodeo attendees. Over the last few years, I've worked with Mike Willman, the official voice of the Rodeo, to make an announcement for the winner of the Milwaukee Tool/T&D World prize drawing. 

I've listened to the songs he's played at the Lineman's BBQ, awards banquet and Rodeo grounds, and he's got a talent for picking music that fits the energy of the Rodeo Week. I asked him to share a playlist of some of his favorite songs that he's played over the years for the Rodeo attendees, and he shared more than 20 hours of music.

I decided to split his original playlist of 311 songs into a series of playlists for our Line Life Podcast listeners. For the first part, you'll hear songs that will get you moving to the beat or playing the air guitar (or a real one if you have one).

I love the blend of country, rock and blues in this playlist, and I hope you'll enjoy them too.
