Line Life Podcast: Women on the Line, Part 4: Featuring Randi Blaser

June 15, 2023
Lineworker Randi Blaser recently topped out at Ameren Illinois and is the daughter of Susan Blaser, who was featured in Part 1 of our series.

For the first three parts of our Women on the Line series for our Line Life Podcast, we focused on the history of women in line work. Now we are looking to the future with Part 4, which features Lineworker Randi Blaser of Ameren Illinois.

With both a mom and dad in the line trade, Randi grew up in the industry and remembers watching lineworkers compete at the International Lineman's Rodeo as a child. It wasn't until she was in college, however, that she decided she wanted to pursue a career in the trade.

After graduating from her mom's lineman training course at Metropolitan Community College in Kansas City, she hit the road for Illinois to start an apprenticeship at Ameren Illinois. After topping out, she is now sharing her story about the challenges and opportunities for women in the trade with T&D World's Line Life Podcast listeners.

Randi is featured in our June 2023 Line Life podcast episode, which is sponsored by Huskie Tools. To listen to the interview, click here or on the icon below.
