Community Heroes: How to Help Line Kids in Need This Christmas

Dec. 16, 2021
NSUJL and Line Crate have programs to help put presents under the Christmas trees for line families in need.

In my 14 years covering the line trade, I've seen firsthand the generosity and kindness of line families. This Christmas, two entities are working to brighten the holidays for children of families in need. If you can afford to help out, please consider giving a gift to a child this holiday season.

NSUJL's Giving Tree Program
As times are financially tough for the families that the National Sisterhood of Journeyman Linemen (NSUJL) helps, members go above and beyond to help their brothers and sisters of the line during the holidays.

NSUJL members sign up voluntarily to adopt a line family in need and personally donate gifts to families who need support during the holidays.

For more information or to register for this program, please contact Rae at 570-550-2978 or [email protected]. About six kids are currently in need of presents during the holidays through the Giving Tree program.
