Meta Design & Manufacturing Inc.'s patent-pending spring-loaded Raptor Overhead Ground Clamp replaces duckbill clamps with ease and functionality.
Working in tandem with a hot stick ratchet, the Raptor opens and secures wires from 1/8th to 1 in. with only one to two rotations, significantly expediting installation and reducing repetitive strain by a magnitude of 10 times.
To sustain the explosive mechanical force present in a ground fault, the company uses a 6061 T6 Machined Billet aluminum body that is said to be superior to standard aluminum castings for protecting a crew. The company stated that this is a new approach to personal protective ground device manufacturing: using CNC machining technology to use much more pure aluminum material in what normally is a cast part.
