Save the Date for A Week of Celebrating Linemen

Sept. 21, 2020
Here is the schedule for the Lineman Celebration Week from Oct. 12-17, 2020, and how you can get involved.

We may not be able to celebrate the line trade in person at the International LIneman's Rodeo for 2020, but we are still planning a virtual celebration week for October. Here is a rundown of the events and details about how you can participate.

If you are a lineman or field manager and want to get involved in the below activities, email Field Editor Amy Fischbach. If you work for a Lineman's Rodeo Expo exhibitor or manufacturer, contact Sam Posa or David Blaza about ways that you can help to support our Lineman Celebration Week.

We will celebrate the category winners and announce the winner of the Top Tool of the Trade in a virtual awards ceremony on the International Lineman’s Rodeo Association Facebook page. To vote for the winner and enter a drawing for Amazon gift cards, visit the online poll.

We are collecting T-shirt design entries and will name a winner. We will then be doing a giveaway of 100 T-shirts with the “quarantine” themed design. If you have a design you would like to submit, please send it to Amy. The art dimensions must be 3600 pixels wide x 3900 pixels tallat 300 dpi. We will then promote the sponsored International Lineman’s Rodeo videos on social media.

Industry thought leader Max Fuentes will provide linemen with a custom video around best practices and new tips. He will also share a PDF of his book, Leadership for Linemen. If you have a question that you would like answered during Max's video, please email him directly.

We are collecting team spirit videos from line workers across the country and collecting them into a video and gallery to be hosted on the T&D World website. If you want to participate, please email Field Editor Amy Fischbach a one- to two-minute video of your team answering the question, "What does the International Lineman's Rodeo mean to you? You can also email Amy with your team photos from past Rodeos.

Throughout the month of September, we’re asking our Lineman’s Rodeo News & Lineman Life subscribers to send in recipes from their past Rodeo cookouts to collect for an ebook that will be shared. Please email Amy your recipes, a photo of the dish and details about why you prepare it at the Rodeo to Amy

Linemen will compete in a virtual competition, which will be shared on the International Lineman’s Rodeo Facebook page as well as the social channels for T&D World and Utility Products. More details will be announced soon.

Thank you for your participation in the 2020 Lineman Celebration Week. We look forward to hearing from you.
