Lineman's Expo Exhibitor Shares Utility's Success Story With Its Hydration Program

Sept. 28, 2018
Working Athlete worked with an Arizona utility to eliminate the number of heat-related hospitalizations.

Almost five years ago, Working Athlete was introduced to the need for industrial hydration by a manager at the largest utility company in Arizona. Up until that point, they had experienced numerous heat-related hospitalizations per year. The company made a decision--the new goal was zero. Everyone was tasked with the big job of making that happen.

So, they reached out to Working Athlete, which provided them with its nutritional hydration, Hydrate & Recover, and its thorough heat and dehydration safety training. Today, the company is proud to say that the teams who adopted its system have zero hospitalizations to report.

"We understand that linemen are athletes, and they must fuel, hydrate and recover like one," says Jesse Paulsen, health and wellness consultant for the Working Athlete, which has been an indoor and outdoor exhibitor at the International Lineman's Expo for the last three years.

Expo attendees are invited to stop by Working Athlete's #810 booth for more information about how to improve a hydration or nutrition program. You can also visit the Web site for more information.
