Paolo Perani is Sustainability Manager for ABB’s Electrification Distribution Solutions (ELDS) Division. In his current role, Paolo engages with global customers on sustainability topics and supports ABB sites around the world to reduce carbon emissions and achieve ABB’s sustainability target of becoming carbon neutral by 2030.
After obtaining a master’s degree in electrical engineering at the Politecnico di Milano, Italy, Paolo went on to develop his career in Italy, South Africa and in the Middle East.
In 2015, Paolo received the “Excellence at work” award by Confindustria Bergamo, and in 2021 Paolo was certified as Environmental Expert by IEMA in UK.
In addition to his role as Sustainability Manager at ABB, Paolo is a member of the Board of ANIE Energia (Association of Italian Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers) and is Vice President of the Executive Committee of T&D Europe. In addition, Paolo is an active member of the Circular Economy Task force and President of the Milan Session of AEIT (Italian Electrical Association).
