Lonnie Martinez ([email protected]) is a principal engineer with Xcel Energy’s transmission engineering department. He is a licensed professional engineer in Colorado and specializes in overhead and underground transmission line engineering. Martinez is responsible for the design of underground and overhead transmission projects and has a professional background that includes experience in underground planning, design, construction, civil and electrical specifications. Martinez is a senior member of IEEE as well as the Insulated Conductor Committee of the IEEE Power & Energy Society
