Adam Shapiro, P.E., is smart grid solutions architect at New York Power Authority. Shapiro has over 10 years of experience working within the utility industry in a variety of roles (design, operations / I&C engineer). His current position at NYPA as smart grid solutions architect includes looking at the long-term trends within the generation and transmission portions of the grid and developing new projects and investments that will allow New York State to be at the forefront of integration of renewable energy while maintaining grid resiliency and asset reliability.
