Steven Martin is the acting CEO and chief commercial officer for GE Digital and chief digital officer for GE Power. He is responsible for the strategy and oversight of GE’s Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) portfolio, including its Digital Energy software, which manages more than 40% of all global electricity.
Driven by the principle that revolutionary hardware deserves revolutionary software, Martin focuses on uncovering and growing opportunities in the IIoT sector and guiding customers on their digital transformation.
Prior to joining GE, Martin spent 14 years at Microsoft and was most recently the chief data scientist for Azure and the Cloud and Enterprise Division.
Martin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in behavioral psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and is a student of behavioral economics.
