It seems cliché now to discuss how bad 2020 has been, but this year certainly has been different from any other year in our lifetimes. COVID-19 hit each and every one of us in some way, whether we have become ill with it, had a loved one affected or dealt with restrictions and protocols.
Utilities were "essential," of course, and responded as quickly to a pandemic as they always do in crises: by suspending shutoffs, enacting safety protocols and injecting good will and service into our communities. These were all topics that made our top 10 news stories of 2020.
