This webinar shares Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD)'s perspective on key elements to lowering wildfire risk. Key elements include hazard and danger tree protocols, regulatory compliance, the use of remote sensing technology to quantify risk and prioritize work, and working with transmission v. distribution voltages. Lastly, a case study on collaboration with industrial timberland and federal land managers to reduce fuels outside right-of-ways (ROWs).
