Feb. 9, 2022
The ability to identify both early and late stage brush fire threats on the overhead system will be of particular interest to Australian utilities.

Exacter, Inc. has announced a partnership to promote its solutions in the Asia-Pacific region through a distributor relationship with Grid Analytics Pty Limited, an innovator and provider of technology solutions to gather data using IoT and smart technologies.

“Partnering with Grid Analytics brings a deep and talented team of IoT and digital transformation expertise to clients in Asia Pacific looking to harness the power of data to make informed decisions,” said Exacter President Geoffrey Bibo. “We are exploring next-generation Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) products for our utility clients and believe Grid Analytics has the skills and experience in developing valuable data focused solutions.”

Grid Analytics is working with Exacter because of the unique scientific approach to gather data in the field for electric utility operators. “Exacter has global patents and is uniquely positioned in providing utilities with evidence-based data to enable clients to have more targeted and proactive approach to maintenance actions,” said Bud Kapoor, director of Grid Analytics Pty Limited “Because we specialize in integrating new solutions into current utility processes, I believe our solutions can help make Exacter data more meaningful and insightful to utility clients in Asia Pacific.”

“For quite some time we have been working closely with the Grid Analytics team in promoting our vision for our next generation of products,” Bibo said.  “Specifically, the integration with existing work processes and strategic asset management tools.”

Kapoor sees opportunity for Exacter and Grid Analytics to help the utility industry through evidenced-based data and analytics.  “The Exacter offering will help our clients improve grid reliability and resilience, optimizing operational resources and costs, improving worker safety including reducing bushfire risks due to pole fires."

Exacter’s ability to identify both early and late stage brush fire threats on the overhead system will be of particular interest to Australian utilities. In addition, considering the renewed focus on renewable energy generation from COP26 through Exacter, utility operators would be able to ensure the grid is “sustainability ready.”

Located in Sydney Australia, Grid Analytics aims to bring grid intelligence solutions to clients in APAC. Grid Analytics would also offer services to integrate this data into existing business processes and strategic asset management tools.
