Opower Teams with Oracle Utilities on Analytics and Customer Care

Together, Opower and Oracle Utilities can help utilities meet a number of key business objectives that are improved by the unique combination of customer engagement and core utility operations capabilities.

Opower is working with Oracle Utilities to enable utilities to integrate Opower’s customer insights into utility systems powered by Oracle, and Oracle’s operational insights into Opower’s customer engagement platform.

Together, Opower and Oracle Utilities can help utilities meet a number of key business objectives that are improved by the unique combination of customer engagement and core utility operations capabilities. Utilities running both Opower and Oracle Utilities platforms can create lasting results in a number of business areas including customer service, energy efficiency, billing, revenue assurance, distribution operations, field service and energy supply.

The collaboration is an extension of the open ecosystem framework enabled by Opower’s platform. The latest platform release reflects Opower’s focus on helping utilities reinvent the experience they provide to customers while driving bottom-line business results: reducing cost-to-serve, increasing customer satisfaction and offering new products and services. Opower has also invested significant R&D in extensibility so that partners can co-invest in new solutions tailored to their customer bases.

Last year, Oracle and Opower shared their broad utility vision through a joint white paper laying out how utilities can leverage their Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and Big Data opportunities to earn a “technology dividend” by partnering with best of breed customer and operational analytics solutions: The Smart Meter (R)Evolution: Maximizing the Technology Dividend & Transforming Your Utility. Opower is a Gold level member in the Oracle Partner Network (OPN).
