Walk the Floor at IEEE T&D with T&D World

April 29, 2022
IEEE Transmission & Distribution Conference is back, and so were we.

The 2022 IEEE/PES Transmission and Distribution Conference & Exposition just wrapped up in New Orleans and T&D World was there to walk the floors, see the sights and hear about all the latest in poles, wires, software, systems and more.

The show floor was booming with a lot of pent-up energy, with many exhibitors and delegates excited, nervous and maybe even a little rusty after years of remote video-based conferences. The show and its sessions featured the expertise and experience we have come to expect from IEEE, with some of the hottest topics including supply chain disruptions, employee retention, renewable energy integration, wildfire mitigation and power line undergrounding.

Host utility Entergy, and other major utilities and vendors were well-represented in the three days worth of educational sessions as well, which included representatives from Eversource Energy, Southern California Edison, Florida Power & Light, Pacific Gas & Electric, PPL Corp., ComEd, Duke Energy, National Grid and many more. Panelists in the sessions had insights to share on topics ranging from smart substation design and enhanced grid resilience to artificial intelligence and satellite-based vegetation management.

Please enjoy this gallery live from the show floor and session halls.
