Don McDonnell is CEO of The McDonnell Group, the leading integrated research and marketing agency for the energy industry, which he co-founded in 2005.
Don is a frequent writer and public speaker at events including DistribuTECH. He actively participates in various utility working groups and research consortium including the NERC ES-ISAC Information Sharing Task Force, IEEE PES, The Georgia Smart Energy Society, and the Electric Light & Power Executive Conference Committee.
Don founded and facilitates the private online Smart Grid Executive Forum group in Linkedin that now has more than 7,000 qualified members. Don’s 25-year career has included work in nuclear, energy trading, metering, outage management and T&D, following a start as an electrical and auxiliary engineering officer on board a U.S. Navy destroyer.
