Eric Lavoie holds a BSME degree and an MS degree in robotics from Laval University. In 1992, he joined Institut de recherche d’Hydro-Québec (IREQ) as a researcher and engineer. He has been working in designing and integrating robotic instruments and sensors for application in the electric utility industry. Lavoie has headed many projects in the areas of nuclear power, hydropower generation, and T&D systems, some resulting in products now commercially available.
