Central Florida Electric Cooperative Inc. in Florida has deployed the RADWIN 5000 point-to-multipoint and RADWIN 2000 point-to-point solutions. The Central Florida Electric Cooperative chose RADWIN’s systems to upgrade its communication network and link substations to district offices with high-capacity connectivity. RADWIN’s solutions are also used for supervisory control & data acquisition (SCADA) and to transmit live video from CFEC’s substations to central headquarters for monitoring and control of critical assets. TelWorx Communications, a leading U.S.-based distributor and RADWIN’s certified partner, was the distributor.

George H. Buckner III, Information Systems manager at CFEC: “After a thorough competitive evaluation we chose RADWIN’s solutions. Thanks to RADWIN we can run multiple bandwidth-heavy applications on the network and monitor substations from afar via 24X7 real-time video surveillance transmission. RADWIN’s links provide exceptional performance at an incredible price point, and we are very pleased with the reliability and durability of the links.”

RADWIN’s portfolio of point-to-point and point-to-multipoint solutions incorporate advanced MIMO and OFDM technologies. They are built to withstand extreme weather and operate in non line-of-sight and high interference conditions. Extremely simple to install and maintain, RADWIN’s sub-6 GHz links are deployed in over 140 countries.
