Interest from both the utility and industrial customer base reflects the increased demand for vacuum switches that include this technology. The rate of Joslyn’s vacuum switches that includes the VacStat feature are ahead of schedule and are expected to continue as Joslyn continues to introduce VacStat into other product offerings.
VacStat provides real-time monitoring of vacuum interrupters. If a loss of vacuum is detected it provides local indication and alarm output contacts for remote monitoring indication. The result is reduced maintenance costs and improved switch reliability and uptime.
