Rugged and durable, Series 101 Snap-Action Rotary Switches from Electroswitch are suitable for a variety of power-industry applications. Designed to withstand shock, vibration, and other severe conditions, they feature double-wiping, low-resistance contacts that maintain their set positions inside fully enclosed decks and deliver high-performance DC or AC switching. Available with four-hole or single-hole mounting, they have continuous ratings of 20 A at 600 V, but the four-hole model is available with ratings up to 200A at 600VAC.

The positive, 90° indexing, snap-action design of Series 101 switches ensures quick make-and-break action (approximately 10-millisecond transfer time) that is not dependent on the operator. Contacts, which can be either non-shorting (break-before-make) or shorting (make-before-break), are enclosed in molded phenolic insulating disks. To minimize resistance and heating, the stationary contacts extend outside the disks and serve as connecting terminals. Rotation is unlimited and continuous in both directions but can be limited at the factory to two or three customer-specified positions.

Four-hole-mount Series 101 Snap-Action Rotary Switches are available with a choice of seven circuits and can be configured with up to four positions, up to 12 poles, and a choice of four handle shapes.

Single-hole-mount Series 101 Snap-Action Rotary Switches are available with a choice of seven circuits and can be configured with up to four positions and up to six poles.

The insulating materials in Series 101 Switches are rated NEMA Class A (to 105° C). Insulation resistance is 100 Megohms minimum. Approvals for Series 101
