Alstom been selected to host the 2012 Factory Day as part of this year’s Annual Circuit Breaker Test & Maintenance Conference (Oct. 1-5 Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania).
Factory Day, which will be held on Oct. 2 in Charleroi, will include guided tours, equipment and process demos, hands-on exhibits as well as a chance to meet the experts at Alstom and visit a mini-expo for conferees.
Alstom is a manufacturer of high voltage circuit breakers, with R&D, manufacturing and service capabilities housed at the Charleroi site. The site also is Alstom's Worldwide Center of Excellence for the research and development, manufacturing and global distribution of dead tank circuit breakers.
Alstom Grid has manufactured circuit breakers for more than a century and has been active in the U.S. for more than 40 years.
In 2011, Alstom expanded its presence in Charleroi with the opening of a new Disconnect Switch manufacturing site adjacent to the circuit breaker center of excellence.
