SMUD Selects R. W. Beck to Help Implement AMI System & Evaluate Smart Grid

The Sacramento Municipal Utility District has selected Plexus Research, Inc., an R. W. Beck company, to provide expert consulting services to support the procurement and implementation phases of SMUD's Advanced Metering Infrastructure project. The three-year project will also assess the potential and value of future Smart Grid applications for the AMI system.

SMUD generates, transmits and distributes electric power for nearly 600,000 residential and commercial customers in California's Sacramento and Placer Counties.
