The NxtPhase optical current, voltage and combined metering sensors have been approved by the New York State Public Service Commission for use in revenue metering. The current and voltage sensors were tested at the National Grid/Niagara Mohawk High Voltage Test Lab located in Liverpool, New York. Approval has been granted for the full range of voltage classes offered from 69 to 765 kV with current ratings from 1 to 3000 A for revenue metering applications.

“The sensors are highly linear, light weight, easy to install, environmentally friendly, and flexible in their application,” commented Steve Dolling, product manager.
