Itron has signed contracts with Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) to provide California's largest utility with Itron Enterprise Edition Meter Data Management software to serve its commercial and industrial (C&I) customer base.
Itron Enterprise Edition Meter Data Management software enables PG&E to consolidate data from multiple interval data collection systems. The system enhances automation, minimizes manual intervention required to manage data from multiple systems, and provides a more scalable solution to support mandated critical peak pricing programs that begin in California in June.
Itron Enterprise Edition features robust, highly flexible validation, editing and estimation functionality. The system also manages the meter data in a secure, auditable repository that provides individuals across the enterprise with easy access to critical data for a wide variety of applications.

PG&E also recently contracted with Itron for LD-Pro software to streamline its line design process by automating many of the labor-intensive and CAD-based distribution design functions.
