Entergy Corporation is standardizing on Indus solutions

Entergy Corporation is standardizing on Indus solutions. Entergy signed a significant license and services contract to upgrade all work management and supply chain systems in its 10-unit nuclear fleet to the latest release of Indus' market-leading enterprise asset management (EAM) software for nuclear utilities.

Based on the successful use of Indus solutions in its Southern fleet, Entergy decided to standardize the work processes across all of its nuclear facilities to help meet its standards for safety, regulatory compliance, fleet management and operational excellence--as well as return on investment. Therefore, the company is replacing work management and supply chain systems from MRO Software and SAP in the company's unregulated Northeast nuclear stations with the Indus solution. Entergy is also upgrading the systems in its Southern nuclear stations with the latest Indus software and aligning all of the stations with a single Indus supply chain solution that will serve the entire organization. Indus intends to work with Entergy to implement Asset Suite's comprehensive functionality using a baseline approach to eliminate customizations.

Indus's EAM solution for nuclear utilities offers asset and work management functionality designed to enable enterprisewide visibility and lifecycle management for complex, multi-site environments such as Entergy's. Asset Suite also offers advanced materials and procurement management and safety and compliance features and facilitates design engineering processes. The latest version of Indus Asset Suite adds a number of key enhancements, including enterprise workflow, wireless mobility and real-time performance management. The result is an advanced, complete solution that is helping nuclear companies around the globe decrease costs, increase availability and minimize downtime.

Indus Asset Suite also delivers the added flexibility and ease of use provided by the Indus Foundation Architecture. Developed using a service-orientated architecture, the Indus Foundation Architecture provides enhanced configurability and agility to meet rapidly evolving business needs. In addition, Indus Asset Suite delivers a personal user interface that includes role and rule-based content and workflow-based navigation and is configurable for the individual user.
