Powel, Inc. has been awarded a contract from Dayton Power and Light (DP&L). The contract is based on the Powel Utility Decision Support Platform (UDSP) suite of software. The system uses Oracle technology to improve business processes and will help utilities, like DP&L, work smarter by sharing information across the company to improve productivity, profitability, and customer service.

During the first year of the contract, Dayton Power and Light will implement core UDSP functionality including Powel's spatial analysis tools and maintenance applications, Powel StakeOut field operations technology, and Powel InfoCenter, a web-based work order management system.

quot; This contract represents a significant breakthrough in the US Power Industry's adoption of Operational Resource Planning solutions," said Corey Maple, CEO of Powel. "We differentiate ourselves in the market by offering a comprehensive product suite designed to optimize utility operations. More utilities are moving away from individual application purchases and investing in a scalable ORP solution based on open software platforms."
