Metadigm Services has announced a rapid AMI deployment project for Concho Valley Electric Cooperative. The project deepens Metadigm’s roster of smart grid service in the Southwest, which currently includes projects with Oncor and La Plata Electric Utility, among others.
With this project, which stretches across ten counties of West Texas during the summer months, Concho Valley joins Austin Energy and AEP in taking steps to build out the Texas smart grid. Metadigm will serve the project from its San Angelo base of operations and Dallas regional headquarters. Sensus Meters and National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative (NRTC) are also partnering in the project.
Metadigm Services’ scope of work includes validating the final readings from the retired meters to ensure proper billing accuracy, cataloging, warehousing, programming, integrating and safety testing.
