CIBER, Inc. has been selected by the Department of Energy as a provider of future information technology support services for the Department’s Bonneville Power Administration, Portland, Oregon. The award is the latest in CIBER’s long-standing relationship with Bonneville and complements CIBER’s current engineering and technical support contracts with this client. CIBER is one of several firms to be selected to provide Bonneville’s IT support services. The agreement includes a one-year contract and four option years, as well as an additional five-year option period. The agreement allows Bonneville to acquire a wide range of IT staffing support for its information technology support organization. Areas of support include systems analysis, project management, IT security, infrastructure support, quality control, software programming, Web services development, technical customer support, database administration, and various network and telecommunications services.

CIBER has provided technical, engineering, professional, and IT support services to Bonneville for 18 years under multiple contract vehicles at locations throughout the Pacific Northwest. Currently, CIBER provides the technical and engineering work force, covering virtually all aspects of day-to-day Bonneville operations, including transmission system engineering, professional services, and IT support—ranging from IT application development to global information system (GIS) database support.
