American Transmission Co. has filed a regulatory application with the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin to rebuild a 69-kV transmission line between Dyckesville, Wisconsin, and Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.

“The line was built in the 1930s and needs to be improved for assured electric reliability in the area,” said David Hovde, ATC local relations representative. “H-frame structures along the 25-mi line will be replaced with single-pole structures in the same locations.”

If approved, construction would begin in September 2015 and the line should be placed in service in summer 2016. Cost of the project is estimated to be about $23 million.
