Abengoa will be responsible for the provision of resources, camps, materials and equipment necessary for the construction of a 33 kV double line.

Minera EXAR has commissioned Abengoa for the construction of a medium-voltage line in the highlands of the province of Jujuy, in the northwest of the country. Minera EXAR is a company dedicated to the extraction of lithium.

Abengoa, through its subsidiary in Argentina Teyma Abengoa, will be responsible for the provision of resources, camps, materials and equipment necessary for the construction of a 33 kV double line of approximately 60 km that will connect the Altiplano transformer station with the Minera EXAR transformer station located in Salar de Olaroz and that will power the extraction plant of one of the largest brine lithium deposits in the world.

This announcement comes after Abengoa recently announced another contract of a power distribution project also for Minera EXAR.

Abengoa has served Argentina for 50 years and has undertaken major projects in all the sectors in which it operates, mainly in the area of power transmission and distribution.
