Summary
Devastated by back-to-back hurricanes, Puerto Rico’s grid was severely damaged in 2017. LUMA, a Puerto Rican company that, since June 1, 2021, operates and manages the electric power transmission and distribution system in Puerto Rico, is on a mission to rebuild the country’s grid as a more reliable, resilient and cleaner energy system. Using Hexagon’s geospatial asset management solution to support each phase – from initial network assessment to redesign and implementation – LUMA is now looking to roll out advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) across the island.
Join the live Q&A to learn how LUMA is building a next-generation electric system and preparing to deploy 1.5 million advanced meters.
You’ll hear examples of how to:
- Leverage data to assess grid damage and inform network redesign
- Plan for an AMI rollout and overcome project obstacles
- Utilize mobile capabilities for monitoring and maintaining a network
- Identify and integrate renewable energy sources
