EnGen Technologies will showcase the EnGen 3, which is a new street lighting solution that operates off-grid using nearly no energy costs. In addition to considerable energy savings, the LED lighting solution radically reduces street lighting installation costs and logistical restrictions: It is able to be installed without a pole on any power line in even previously inaccessible locations.
The Self Powered Street Light - EnGen 3 is 4 lbs. lighter and operates on lower line amperage allowing smaller communities to provide light and safety where needed. The light is installed via hot stick to “live” power lines, where its patented Flux Capacitor leverages the line’s electromagnetic field to power long-lasting, low-maintenance LED lights, which additionally reduce ongoing support costs for keeping streets lit. The result is a street light that can be quickly installed at a fraction of existing installation costs, and generates its power off-grid.
