Open Systems International, Inc. has been selected by Hoosier Energy Rural Electric Cooperative, Inc. to implement a Generation and Energy Management System (GMS/EMS) based on OSI’s monarch platform.

Hoosier Energy’s new OSI GMS/EMS system includes the advanced functionality presented by OSI’s next-generation, .NET based Graphical User Interface; Remote Console GUI; Dynamic Tabular Display Subsystem; Data Engineering and Maintenance Subsystem; Advanced Alarm Management System; Real-time and Historical Trending; Communications Front-end Processor; Historical Information System and Data Archiving; Inter-control Center Communications Protocol; Calculation & Scripting Subsystem; Load Shed and Restoration; PMU Data Communications Processor; Automatic Generation Control and Dispatch; Market Operations System; Network Security Analysis; and Operator Training Simulator software products.

Hoosier Energy is a generation and transmission cooperative (G&T) with headquarters in Bloomington, Indiana. The G&T provides electric power and services to 18 electric distribution cooperatives in southern Indiana and southeastern Illinois.
