Apps Calculate Voltage Drop and Conductor Ampacity

The General Cable apps are available for download from the App Store or on Google Play™.

General Cable has launched three new mobile applications for smartphones or tablets. The three new General Cable Apps are:

  • Voltage Drop – Calculate the maximum circuit distance and minimum conductor size for your required voltage drop
  • Conductor Ampacity – Calculate conductor ampacities for different temperature ratings
  • Conduit Fill – Calculate the minimum conduit size per the National Electrical Code®

“We know many of the people who use our products spend more time on a jobsite with mobile devices than they do in an office with a desktop computer,” said Alison Earle, Sales Operations Manager, General Cable.  “This is why we developed these Apps, which can be easily downloaded and quickly used to calculate current carrying capacity, conduit size and voltage drop — basically doing the calculations for them on the job, saving them time and money.”

The General Cable apps are available for download from the App Store or on Google Play.
