TDG is a significant advancement over conventional hot-dip galvanizing. It employs a method of applying a uniform, sacrificial zinc-iron alloy utilizing a metallurgical vapor diffusion process tested to ASTM 1059 and has been approved by the U.S. Department of the Navy for salt corrosion protection. As a "green” technology, TDG substantially outperforms conventional mild steel protection, without the environmental impacts of other processes. Applying the TDG process to critical ferrous components provides corrosion protection unmatched by any other outdoor switchgear.

Inertia Engineering LineBOSS Sidebreak Switches feature sealed stainless steel roller bearings, silver-plated C110 copper current-carrying components and reverse loop contact jaws. They also employ a variety of innovative arc-interrupting techniques. This combination of features assures smooth and dependable operation over a long life – even in environments where ice, dust, humidity, industrial corrosives and other contaminants are present. The unitized switches are fully factory assembled, simplifying installation while minimizing cost.

LineBOSS Unitized Sidebreak Line Switches are A.N.S.I. and I.E.C. rated and are offered in five voltage classes: 15.5 kV, 25.8 kV, 38.0 kV, 48 kV and 72.5 kV.  With continuous current ratings of 600, 900 and 1200 amps, they are available in wide range of options and configurations engineered to customer-specific construction and operational needs.
