The Cable Distance Meter from HD Electric is a handheld meter for measurement of cable sag, cable height distance and overhead clearance of conductors. It is a modern alternative to telescopic measuring poles. The meter uses ultrasonic signals to determine the height of overhead cables.
The CDM-50 will measure cables up to a height of 50 feet, and the CDM-75 will measure cables up to a height of 75 feet.
The meter is a part of its Electrical Power Products division, which consists of Electrical Test and Measurement, Controls and System Measurement and Utility Specialty Products. The Utility Lighting Products division offers a range of lighting products for use during nighttime operations, storm conditions or limited light conditions.
