Dranetz-BMI will showcase the Encore Series permanent power quality monitoring system at this year’s AFCOM 2006, from March 19-23 in Atlanta, Georgia. Along with the Encore Series, Dranetz-BMI will also highlight the PowerXplorer PX5 and the Measuring Pad.

The next generation of permanent monitoring systems, the Encore Series’ configurable design allows users to specify the right instrumentation configuration for their specific application. With the Encore Series, users have their choice of voltage, current and data acquisition modules to build from one to four virtual instruments in a single, compact, cost-effective format. By combining four modules in one instrument for applications that previously required two or more instruments, users will save money, prevent integration aggravation and gain physical space.

The MeasuringPAD, Dranetz-BMI’s new portable data acquisition instrument, is a hand-held instrument designed for use in a wide range of manufacturing, laboratory, plant operations and quality control applications. Configured and operated through an easy-to-use graphical interface, MeasuringPAD provides live readout of up to 16 analog inputs and up to eight logic-level digital inputs.

Dranetz-BMI’s PowerXplorer PX5 integrates the most advanced feature set available in a power instrument. With high-speed sampling and data capture, this 8-channel, hand-held instrument captures and characterizes hundreds of parameters using a range of standard and customizable operating modes. The measurement capabilities of the PowerXplorer include capture of low-medium-high frequency transients as well as power measurements to clearly characterize non-sinusoidal and unbalanced systems.
