SmartSynch, Inc. and Sprint have introduced a residential utility meter that communicates over the dependable and secure nationwide Sprint network. This smart grid solution allows utilities to automate the electric grid through AMI, demand response and SmartSynch’s network management. By combining these capabilities with the nationwide Sprint network, continuously updated information can be made available to utilities and their customers.

The "Nationwide Sprint Network" reaches more than 306 million people in the United States, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. SmartSynch has been a provider of smart grid solutions using cellular networks since the introduction of its first SmartMeter in 2000. SmartSynch’s smart grid solutions securely deliver smart grid data on the Sprint network, enabling quicker, easier, more scalable and strategic smart meter deployments for utilities.
