POWER Engineers, Inc. has helped East River Electric Power Cooperative with a Needs Assessment and a Go Forward Plan for their new enterprise GIS implementation and integration project. The new GIS will increase operational efficiency, raise productivity, and improve member service, as well as lay the foundation upon which future smart grid initiatives can be built.
The Needs Assessment identifies the overall vision for the system and the high-level requirements for East River's enterprise GIS based on interviews and workshops with key stakeholders. The Go Forward Plan provides the roadmap and industry best-practices for implementing an integrated solution that will satisfy those requirements. POWER previously completed a Data Inventory for East River to collect and document the various data artifacts that are being used in the current business process flows.
