Open Systems International, Inc. (OSI) has introduced a new release of its Monarch (Multi-platform Open Network Architecture) platform, which has been specifically targeted for mid-tier utilities. Monarch/mt (mid-tier) offers growing cooperatives and municipal utilities a SCADA and automation platform at an affordable price.

OSI has electric utility customers of many diverse sizes. Due to the flexibility and scalability of the Monarch platform and associated products, OSI has been meeting the critical automation needs of large, investor-owned utilities, rural electric cooperatives (REC) and municipalities.

Monarch/mt is based on Windows or Linux operating systems and offers a new user interface system based on Microsoft .NET technology. A range of popular open and legacy RTU protocols are supported along with many open interfaces including the MultiSpeak interface as well as popular GIS interfaces. A range of distribution, generation, and transmission applications are offered in a modular fashion to meet specific needs of the utilities’ mission.

Monarch/mt is a security-hardened platform meeting all NERC CIP security requirements. The monarch platform has been deployed in critical environments with stringent security requirements.
