Oklahoma Gas & Electric Outsources Telecom Expense Management

Control Point Solutions has announced the signing of a multi-year outsourcing contract with Oklahoma Gas and Electric (OGE), the regional energy provider based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. With more than 3000 employees, OGE serves more than 755,000 retail customers in Oklahoma and Western Arkansas, as well as a number of wholesale customers throughout the region. OGE also operates Enogex, a pipeline system engaged in gas gathering, processing, transportation, storage, and marketing.

Control Point will provide OGE with an integrated Telecom Expense Management (TEM) solution. This integrated solution for voice, data and wireless expenses includes processing of vendor invoices, invoice and contract audit, account reconciliation, vendor dispute management, as well as supporting ordering and provisioning, asset and circuit inventory recordkeeping, expense allocation and specialized reporting.

Control Point Solutions will focus on OGE's current telecom expenses and reduction of the total cost of ownership of its internal telecom expense management program. By engaging Control Point Solutions, OGE can redirect its internal resources to focus on its core objectives and competencies, while cost-effectively gaining domain expertise and enhanced internal control over the end to end telecom expense lifecycle. The enhanced visibility of the total telecommunication expense sets a benchmark to measure further cost savings.
