Landis+Gyr Announces Release of Gridstream MDMS 3.5

May 28, 2015
Update expands standards-based integration, while enhancing system architecture and user interface to improve functionality

Landis+Gyr has released version 3.5 of Gridstream Meter Data Management System (MDMS), which includes new data storage architecture, improved performance of on-demand commands and an enhanced user interface.

Gridstream MDMS validates the accuracy and integrity of data and automates the movement of that data between utility systems and advanced metering head-end systems. In version 3.5, the Data Synchronization Engine architecture was changed to allow easier integration of master data. This improves the process for registering changes in meter status, such as new meter or service connections.

Other key features include expedited handling of on-demand commands to the AMI network, performance improvements for the SmartData for Outage Management extension to boost scalability of the application, and multi-language support to enhance global usability of the product.

"Continued improvements to how Gridstream MDMS processes meter data and commands are complemented in this version by user interface enhancements that make the product easier to use and more valuable to our customers," said Dave Connaker, President of Landis+Gyr's Gridstream MDMS Solutions. "And as Gridstream MDMS gains more prominence in global markets, we've extended features such as multi-language support for expanded global usability."

Gridstream MDMS is the meter data management solution supporting some of the world's largest advanced metering deployments. It currently processes data for more than 57 million metering endpoints at utilities around the globe.
