Jackson Energy Authority has selected Telvent Miner & Miner’s ArcFM solution as a core piece of its enterprise architecture redesign initiative.

Jackson Energy Authority has selected Telvent Miner & Miner’s (TM&M) ArcFM solution as a core piece of its enterprise architecture redesign initiative. The software and implementation will include ArcFM, ArcFM Viewer with Redliner, Fiber Manager, and Responder OMS.

Jackson Energy Authority is a multi-utility company serving the city of Jackson, in Madison County, Tennessee, with electric, gas, water, wastewater and telecommunication services over a fiber-to-the-home network offering cable, internet, and telephone service with a total combined meter base of approximately 140,000.

Servicing one utility in an integrated enterprise architecture is difficult, but JEA will use ArcFM Solution as the first step in integrating all five utilities into one integrated GIS architecture. TM&M will also perform the professional services needed to migrate to the new solution.

JEA will roll out this new GIS solution in a three-phased approach with phase 1 encompassing ArcFM for gas, water, wastewater, and landbase systems, with some mobile viewing capability being rolled out for these facilities. Phase 2 will include the ArcFM for the electric system, Fiber Manager and also Responder which will replace their current OMS. Phase 3 will be a final roll out of the ArcFM Mobile Viewer with Redliner Extension.
