Public Power Corporation S.A. (PPC) in Greece has significantly cut statement and bill production time with the GMC solution.

Greece's Public Power Corporation S.A. has significantly cut statement and bill production time with the GMC solution. As GMC Software Technology is a Xerox Business Innovation Partner, PPC was able to discover GMC’s Customer Communications Management (CCM) solutions through Xerox.

With more than 7.5 million customers, PPC is the biggest power producer and electricity supplier in Greece. PPC also holds significant assets in lignite mines, power generation, electricity transmission and distribution. Founded in 1950, PPC is listed on the Athens and London stock exchanges as one of the largest industrial groups in Greece in terms of assets and the leading power utility.

“Our old software offered limited capabilities and flexibility that quite frequently led to delays in setting-up daily production volumes,” said Nikolaos Karamalikis, assistant IT director and head of printing room at PPC. “In terms of redesigning applications, continuous and various changes in customer communication were difficult to implement with short notice, and changing the appearance of an application was a struggle.”

In addition to increasing productivity, PPC has also reduced maintenance costs through standardizing on GMC, while also enabling PPC to set up automatic reprint procedures for communications such as household bills, payroll and pension documents.
