Black & Veatch continues to expand its Smart Grid suite of services with the acquisition of Enspiria Solutions, a strategic planning and systems integration company headquartered in Denver, Colorado.

Black & Veatch continues to expand its Smart Grid suite of services with the acquisition of Enspiria Solutions, a strategic planning and systems integration company headquartered in Denver, Colorado.

More than 35 utilities have already turned to the Enspiria team for help in defining and implementing their smart grid programs. These programs go beyond the electric meter and place energy conservation and demand management into the homes of consumers by making available real-time pricing and consumption information. In total, the company has helped to define and implement Smart Grid programs that benefit approximately 60 million utility customers across North America.

Enspiria will become part of Black & Veatch’s management consulting division that provides clients with a wide range of advisory solutions in business and regulatory strategy, financial feasibility, rate development, bond financing, asset valuation and evaluation, resource planning, risk management and business applications.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
