Michigan Public Power Agency has commissioned a new SCADA system. Michigan Public Power Agency, headquartered in Lansing, Michigan, is a non-profit, customer-owned, joint action power supply agency established in 1978 under Michigan Public Act 448. The Agency provides economic benefits to its 16 municipal members and is involved in joint ownership of electrical generating plants and transmission facilities, as well as the pooling of utility resources.

The new system features Survalent Technology's highly available, dual-redundant, open-architecture system based on Windows Server 2008. The feature-rich system incorporates many of Survalent's open system applications, including: Command Sequencing, Event Data Recording, real-time data replication to SQL, Remote Alarm Annunciation, IED Wizard, Control Panel, Master/Slave Alarm Suppression, GPS Clock Interface, Short Term Load Forecasting, Load Estimation, and SCADA Add-in for MS Excel and Access.

The system was also commissioned with Survalent's WebSurv solution, a powerful application to serve real-time SCADA information to users via web browser, and without the need for custom installation or maintenance.
